CARRIZO: "MY AIM IS TO HELP THE TEAM"

Nerazzurri keeper on InterNOS: "Samir, Luca and I have three completely different characters but we work together and try to help each other out"

APPIANO GENTILE - Juan Pablo Carrizo, speaking on tonight's episode of InterNOS, provided an insight into the relationship between the Nerazzurri goalkeepers. "It's true that we have three completely different characters but we try to exchange our views when it comes to technical and tactical matters. We each have our own ideas, our own way of working and when we train together we try to agree on how we want to do things."

Are all goalkeepers crazy? "So they say..." grinned Carrizo. "Sometimes you concede a goal that's your fault but you know the lads still have faith in you and you have to convey your own self-confidence to them."

He went on to talk about how he interacts with some of his team-mates on the pitch: "We all want the same thing, which is to win matches. There are team-mates that you're closer to who perhaps point things out to you during a game, but it's never annoyed me because it's always advice and it's to help the team. It's a way of being involved in the game."

What about his international aspirations? "It was a great honour for me to play for Argentina and I'd like to be part of the national set-up again at some point. When I joined Inter my first priority was to get my career back on track and to do that I think you need to be working with serious professionals and a serious club, and I didn't have that before coming here. Going to the World Cup is not a target for me at this stage of my career. My aim is to help the team, do well and perhaps in future become Inter's first-choice keeper, although at the moment I have to accept that I have an immense keeper ahead of me in the pecking order. And I'm happy being second keeper."
