SAN PATRIGNANO (Rimini) - "I'm better, I think this is the last phase of my injury: I hope to be back as soon as possible and make myself available." This is what Inter captain Javier Zanetti had to say as he attended WeFree Days in San Patrignano. The captain also commented on the law on regional discrimination which has been in the news over the last few days. "We need to have clear rules: I think that's the only way football can move forward."
Zanetti meanwhile had this to say about the league season so far: "I'm not surprised, I knew Mazzarri as an opponent. Benitez wasn't with us for very long but we knew he was a good coach. He was at the club for a short time and sadly we had a lot of injuries in that period. What's important is that we're on a new path and we want to be up there. Inter - first and foremost - need to think about competing at the top again and being able to challenge for trophies."
The capitan finally discussed the title race and the current league leaders, Roma: "There are a number of teams challenging for the same target. Roma have great players, they're terrific opponents. We'll see what happens at the end: the season is very long" (ANSA).
