MILAN - Alvaro Pereira's Uruguay beat Fredy Guarin's Colombia 2-0 (Cavani, Stuani) at the Estadio Centenario, Montevideo in a World Cup qualifier last night.
Guarin started and finished the match for Colombia while Pereira did not feature for the hosts, remaining on the bench for the entirety of the encounter.
The result means Colombia remain second in the South American qualifying group with 26 points while Uruguay have drawn level with fourth-placed Ecuador on 22 points.
