MILAN - Algeria beat Mali 1-0 at Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida in the final game of their World Cup qualifying group. Having already secured top spot, the North-African nation warmed up for their October/November play-off with another win thanks to Soudani's 51st-minute strike.
Saphir Taider started the match and played most of the game before being replaced on 88 minutes. Meanwhile Ishak Belfodil made a brief appearance as a late substitute, coming on for goalscorer Soudani in the 90th minute.
