OLSEN: "I'M ONLY AT THE START BUT I'M LEARNING A LOT FROM INTER"

To Inter Channel: "I'm happy to be able to train with the best players in Italy. I want to please Mazzarri: I need to work hard and run like crazy"

MIAMI - After his good showing against Juventus, Patrick Olsen told Inter Channel about what he is gaining from his time with the first team, and what he expects from his future.

How much of a help was it to be part of the pre-season training camp with the first team?

"I have to work hard. I want to learn from Cambiasso, do what I can in training to make the coach happy. When he picks me I have to do my job, work hard, play passes and run like crazy. This is the start of my career, I've still got a long way to go before I reach the top. I'm here for now and happy to train with the best players in the country. I'm learning and improving a lot training in a team like Inter. It's a great place to start my career."

Your preferred position on the pitch would be where Cambiasso plays then?

"Yes, that's my best position because I can dictate play with short and long passes. I can control the play and be one of the best defenders. This is the best position for me but if Mazzarri decides to put me where Kuzmanovic, Guarin, Ricky or anyone else plays, I still want to be there and do what I have to. Does Cambiasso help me? Yes, he teaches me a lot, during training sessions he tells me if it's better to run in one direction rather than standing still or something else. He helps me a lot."

What do you miss most about home in Denmark?

"I was born in Copenhagen and I miss my mum's cooking. She makes a cracking dish called 'Frikadelle'."

What is it?

"Meat mixed with potatoes, onions and other stuff. It's hard to explain."
