CHELSEA 2-0 INTER (HT)

Nerazzurri make a lively start but fall behind to a great goal by Oscar. Highly dubious penalty call allows Hazard to make it two from the spot

INDIANAPOLIS – The Nerazzurri - kitted out in their new white away strip - are trailing 2-0 to Chelsea at half time in this evening's Guinness International Champions Cup contest being played at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Inter started off well in a lively opening period but fell behind when Chelsea made the most of their first decent chance: Moses carried the ball forward well on the break before laying off for Oscar, whose brilliant curled finish from the edge of the box left Handanovic with no chance.

Mourinho's team doubled their lead shortly before the half-hour mark when Hazard converted from the penalty spot, but Inter can consider themselves hard done by as Pereira's foul was a good yard outside the box.

Result aside, Mazzarri's players haven taken a positive approach to the game fashioning a number of good chances of their own, including a spectacular Guarin volley that fizzed a fraction wide of the post.
