INTER LEAD VICENZA 2-1 AT THE BREAK

The Nerazzurri go behind early and then react through goals from Guarin and Belfodil. Moratti in attendance in Pinzolo

PINZOLO – Inter are leading Vicenza 2-1 at half-time. The Nerazzurri took to the pitch in a 3-5-1-1 formation with Capello supporting Belfodil, the lone striker. The first half of the match was lively and entertaining for the fans, among which was president Massimo Moratti, who arrived in Pinzolo just in time for the kick-off.

Despite the Nerazzurri’s good start it was the Biancorossi who got on the scoreboard first, when Giacomelli beat Handanovic with a deflected shot from outside the box. Then only one minute passed before Inter drew level; a lovely cross from Pereira on the left found Fredy Guarin, who volleyed the ball past Coser. In the 42nd minute Inter deservedly pulled ahead when Belfodil leapt to meet a corner with a thundering header that finished in the back of the net.
