The 23-year-old shotstopper made his Nerazzurri debut on 30 August 2012 in Inter 2-2 Vaslui, replacing Antonio Cassano in the 33rd minute after Luca Castellazzi was sent off.
The Slovene keeper went on to make two more competitive appearances last season, all three coming in the Europa League. Following his debut he also stood between the sticks in Rubin Kazan v Inter and Inter v Neftchi.
