APPIANO GENTILE – Today a press conference was held at the Centro Sportivo
Angelo Moratti to present the 2013 summer training camp in Pinzolo.
Inter’s commercial director Giorgio Ricci, Pinzolo mayor William Bonomi,
Esteban Cambiasso and Ricky Alvarez met with journalists to discuss the
Nerazzurri’s programme in Val Rendena.
Commercial director Giorgio Ricci stated: "Summer in Pinzolo has
become a permanent fixture now. Everyone is pleased with it and it’s very important
for Inter’s season. The camp will begin on 10 July and end on 21 July, a period
in which two friendly matches will be played, although the opponents have yet
to be determined. We’re happy to be able to return to Pinzolo, a place with
which we’ve formed strong bonds. It’s a special collaboration because the pre-season training camp for the first team is the
starting point, but it
doesn’t end there since our relationship with the Trentino region continues by
way of a number of activities carried out over the course of the season."
Then it was time for the mayor of Pinzolo, William Bonomi, to speak:
"We’ve already spent two years together, which were fantastic. Now we
approach this new appointment with a great sense of commitment to allow Inter
to enjoy a relaxing camp, and to allow their fans to be close to their
favourite team as well as to the territory. The area will be able to offer
everyone the possibility to take part in many activities, such as hiking and
high-altitude excursions. The city of Pinzolo is committed to making everyone
that takes part in this project feel truly at home."
Esteban Cambiasso then explained: "We’re very pleased to have facilities
in which we can work calmly while at the same time receiving the support of our
fans. They’ve already spent two camps with us and really enjoyed it. Now what
we can do, and must do, is try to keep the fans happy throughout
the whole season, which unfortunately we weren’t able to do this year. Just as
everyone in Pinzolo is committed, we’re committed to paying back our fans and
to turning this hard work into positive results."
Finally Ricky Alvarez spoke to journalists about the relationship with
those who make the experience in Val Rendena so great: "Having contact with
our fans is important. After every training session we try to take time out for
them because they follow us every day and their support deserves recognition. I
believe the summer training camp is the most important part of the entire
season, because the rest of the year depends on it."
