STRAMACCIONI: "TEAM TOGETHER, FOCUSED ON UDINESE"

Coach's comments at tenth anniversary of Zanetti's Gaucho restaurant

MILAN – Ten years of Gaucho. That was the occasion on Thursday evening as friends and family gathered at Javier Zanetti's Argentinian restaurant in Milan to celebrate its tenth anniversary. Among the guests present was Andrea Stramaccioni, who stopped briefly to chat to journalists as he arrived.

"A bonding activity? We're only too happy to be here for the captain. For a start it's a beautiful place! And despite all the bad things that have happened this year, the team has always stuck together and we're all fond of the captain. We're especially close to him now because of what he's been through. But tomorrow morning we'll be focused on Udinese again because we want to end the season well.

"When will I be confirmed as coach for next season? I think president Moratti has been very clear about that in the comments he's made, certainly his most recent comment. For me the goal is Inter v Udinese – that's what the players and the coach should be thinking about because we want give our fans a good send-off and get a result by playing well. On paper it may look like Udinese will be more up for it, but we'll be just as motivated as they are. We want to win our last game.

"Cassano? Yet another mishap. He suffered this fracture by slipping on his own during a training match. It's not a clean break, it's a compound fracture, so we'll have to wait and see. It's unlikely he'll be able to play on Sunday but I know he wants to be involved and will do everything he can to make it.

"Pasa, Benassi and Garritano coming back from Italy Under-19 duty? Sacchi agreed to let them come back this evening."
