APPIANO GENTILE - Tommaso Rocchi spoke to Sky Sport 24, beginning with Inter's last match against Lazio: "We played well, we didn't deserve to lose, but football's strange like that, it comes down to incidents in the game and things didn't quite go our way. We played a good match, we were a little unlucky, and it's not nice to have to discuss yet another defeat. Have I experienced anything like this before? Quite honestly, no, it's one blow after another, and this is not just a bad run, it's been the whole year. Now I think it's important to honour the club and the rest of the campaign. We've still got two matches to play and we'll do our best from now till the end, before planning for next season, by looking at where we can improve.
"Obviously there's no one reason to explain everything that's happened," explained Rocchi. "It's not only the injuries, or bad luck, if we're honest, we need to improve and I'm sure president Moratti will build a competitive side. I don't want to keep harking on about it, but the fact is we've missed a lot of important players, the starters... I'd have liked to have seen how the other sides would have managed."
The forward was in no doubts as to whether Inter should continue with Andrea Stramaccioni: "Yes, I think so. This has also been a year's experience for him to work out where he can improve. He's given everything and I think he did well until we had problems, we all did."
Will the lack of European football next season have an impact on whether Rocchi stays at Inter: "I don't know yet. We'll wait for the end of the season, I believe the club has other priorities. Obviously we'll have fewer matches to play but I think these decisions need to be made after careful consideration. Where would I like to finish my career? Here at Inter. I've said that since day one, I'd like to stay here but we'll see."
Finally, a word on his fitness: "I'm alright now, I've shown over the last six games that I can play consistently. You might then play well or badly but getting out there never hurts. There are pros and cons to playing too much, but it's always better to play."
