MORATTI: "CAREFUL BALANCE NEEDED FOR THE FUTURE"

"A civilised protest, I understand the fans. It's up to me to answer with facts. Words are not so important"

MILAN - President Massimo Moratti answered a few questions from the waiting journalists as he left the Stadio Meazza this evening.

You can read the president's words in full on inter.it.

It was a difficult evening: is that a mirror of the season?
"It's not a good thing if it's a mirror of the season because it means we've had an ugly season... We started off in a pretty bad way in terms of our line-up, with few players available, then someone went and got injured straight away. Still, I must say we played well, but that's how it is this year. Let's just take it for what it is and focus on rebuilding."

The fans asked you a series of questions. Do you feel like answering them?
"I thought it was all very civilised. I'm a fan too and I think the questions were right. To be honest, I don't have the answers to some of them but otherwise I see things the same way myself: we need to be stronger as a club and also in terms of players, although that's not easy with all these injuries. People are cruel when they speak ill of you but generous when they think well of you. A careful balance is needed for the future."

What do the fans expect?
"Tonight they showed they have faith. If somebody asks you a question it's because they expect you to answer it, so it's up to me to answer with actions. Words are not very important."
