PEREIRA: "PARMA A CONFIDENCE BOOST"

"Five games left. We'll push on now and try to win them all, taking each game as it comes"

APPIANO GENTILE - Halfway between Parma and Palermo, Alvaro Pereira gave an interview to Sky Sport 24's Matteo Barzaghi: "We're ok now, we won last Sunday and that was a bit of a confidence boost after a few defeats. We must try to win the games we have left and just take them one at a time without making any calculations."

On his relationship with Andrea Stramaccioni: "We're all rowing in the same direction, working to be successful both on the field and off it. This is a wonderful team and there are no problems between us. We've had to overcome adversity but we've done that by sticking together. The club's future? I'm one of the new players in this team but I can tell you that everyone here and all the fans want one thing only: to win."

What has affected the Nerazzurri's season more: injury problems or refereeing decisions? "I can only answer that at the end of the year and I'll say the same thing if you ask me to assess my first campaign with Inter. We've got five matches left, we're footballers and we're always looking ahead to the next game. All I can say is that if you play for Inter, your aim must always be to win."

Pereira also spoke about Javier Zanetti ("He's a friend as well as a team-mate and my captain. We have a great relationship off the pitch as well. He helped me a lot when I first arrived in Milan") then commented on the fans ("We want to win for them") and the transfer rumours from England about his future: "I respect Inter. It makes no difference to me to hear that other teams are interested. My future? Palermo."
