APPIANO GENTILE – Andrea Stramaccioni opened his press conference the day before Cagliari v Inter with words of praise for tomorrow's opponents. "Cagliari are one of the Serie A sides that I admire and like the most, and a team we have a lot of respect for. They have a consolidated playing style and an impressive array of attacking options - dangerous, well-assorted strikers with different characteristics, a real handful for any defence. It's going to be tough for us."
The coach was also keen to stress that his thoughts are firmly on tomorrow's championship encounter at the Stadio Nereo Rocco in Trieste. "We're focused on Cagliari, the Roma match comes later." There's no question of rotating because "the Roma game is hugely important but we want to finish our league campaign on a high, as best we possibly can. I've always believed that the game which comes before another important game is hugely important in itself for morale. It's crucial that we get ourselves back on form in Trieste."
