MILAN – As we await Sampdoria v Inter, which will kick off at 18:30, we provide you here at inter.it with some interesting stats and figures on the match, courtesy of Football Data.
Rossi’s 700
Against Inter, Delio Rossi will celebrate the 700th match as a coach in his
professional career. The current 699 – collected in charge of Salernitana,
Foggia, Pescara, Genoa, Lecce, Atalanta, Lazio, Palermo, Fiorentina and
Sampdoria – are divided as follows: 347
in the Serie A, 223 in B, 34 in C-1, 59 in the Coppa Italia, 20 in European
competition and 8 in other tournaments. His record in these 699 matches is 261
wins, 210 draws and 228 defeats. Delio Rossi’s competitive debut as a coach
took place on 22 August 1993: Salernitana 1-2 Udinese in the Coppa Italia.
Sampdoria: coming off of 4 consecutive home wins
Sampdoria have strung together four consecutive home wins in the league, which
have come against Pescara (6-0), Roma (3-1), Chievo (2-0) and Parma (1-0). The
last match the Blucerchiati failed to win at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris dates back to 13 January in
a 0-0 draw against AC Milan. Should the Ligurians win today and make it 5 home
wins in a row, they would match a record they set during the period of April to
August 2010.
Inter: 10 consecutive away games without a clean sheet
Inter have let in at least one goal in their last 10 consecutive away games this
season, for a total of 20 goals against. To find the last time the Nerazzurri
registered a clean sheet away from home you must go back to AC Milan 0-1 Inter
on 7 October.
Kuzmanovic: 100 in Serie A
Should Zdravko Kuzmanovic take to the pitch this evening, he would celebrate
his 100th professional match in Italy. His current 99 appearances – collected
wearing the shirts of both Fiorentina and Inter – are divided as such: 75 in
the Serie A, 3 in the Coppa Italia and 21 in European competition. Kuzmanovic’s
official debut in Italy dates back to 4 March 2007 in Fiorentina 5-1 Torino in
the Serie A.
Inter, without a goalless draw in 2012/13
Along with Roma, Inter are one of only two teams that have yet to register a
0-0 draw in the 2012/13 Serie A season. The last one for the Giallorossi goes
back to 22 April 2012 at Fiorentina, 33 matches ago.
