LETE CHAMPION CHEFS KICKS OFF

Players and fans in the kitchen for Serie A's first cooking contest

MILAN – From March 22 four Serie A sides and their fans will go head-to-head in the kitchen in a fun contest to find the most skilful chefs in the tastiest league table in Italian football. The initiative, involving Acqua Lete in association with Inter, Napoli, Atalanta and Bologna, will see fans from the four clubs take part. They will post their recipes online for lovers of football and food to enjoy.

Ever recipe posted by the fans, all aspiring chefs, will earn their club 3 points in the special gourmet league table, and be entered into a competition to win one of five season tickets for the 2013/14 season that each club has put up as the prize.

And the added twist in this, the first cooking contest in Italian football, is that players from the four Serie A clubs will also be taking part, joining up with their fans and publishing their favourite recipes too. From Zanetti to Denis, from Cannavaro to Diamanti, having seen what they can all do on the football field, we can now see what they can do over a hot stove.

"The four clubs involved have very passionate fans and they deserve to have a chance to show off their talents," Gabriella Cuzzone, Marketing Director of Acqua Lete said. "The idea of combining the two passions of Italians, cooking and 'calcio', fascinates us. We’d like to thank the players and officials of Inter, Napoli, Bologna and Atalanta, who have all taken part and shown tremendous enthusiasm, passion and awareness for an initiative that allows fans to show their love for their club in a very healthy and fun way."
