INTER CAMPUS VENEZUELA: VISIT TO CARACAS

Commitment and emotions, with the 15 local instructors and 250 participating children

MILAN - The visit to Caracas is always full of emotions and constructive events. On one hand were the meetings at the UNICEF offices between the local representatives and the Inter delegation – composed of supervisor Aldo Montinaro, local contact Luis Merola and his collaborator Paola di Mattia – for a comparison of activities and possible synergies for the future, with the support of the Consul General of Italy, Giovanni Davoli, who is very active in his cooperation. On the other hand, there were the activities on the pitch with coaches Gabriele Raspelli and Roberto Picardi.

First came the theoretical training course for 15 local instructors/coaches led by Mario Berdugo at the Don Bosco Sports Centre, where the Fondacion Magallanes is based. Together with the Fundacion Amigos de San Bernardino, they are the institutional partners of Inter Campus in Venezuela, managing the participation of the 250 children in the programme.

Then everyone got together for the start of the activities and the distribution of the new Nerazzurri kits in the San Isidro neighbourhood, where the pitch is made of sand and stones. However, the kids never hesitated to chase the ball and show off their boundless joy and energy.

The handing out of the kits, coaching sessions, games and a mini-tournament made up the visit to the Los Erasos neighbourhood, where the gathering of the children from the Fundacion San Bernardino and their families was particularly touching and exciting for the entire Inter Campus staff.
