MILAN – Here are a few facts and figures courtesy of Football Data to help get us in the mood ahead of tonight's encounter at the Stadio Olimpico (20:45 kick-off).
Inter and Roma are the only two sides yet to play out a goalless stalemate in the 2012/13 Serie A campaign and two of the three sides (along with Pescara) to have drawn only two games so far. The Nerazzurri's last 0-0 came 25 league games ago, away to Fiorentina on 22 April 2012.
That 0-0 in Florence was Inter's last draw on the road. In the 18 championship encounters away from Milan since then, they have won 11 and lost seven. Inter are one of four teams yet to share the spoils in an away fixture this season; the others are Bologna, Chievo Verona and Roma.
This evening Zdenek Zeman and Andrea Stramaccioni will sit in opposite dugouts for the second time in their coaching careers: the only previous meeting came when Roma left San Siro with a 3-1 victory on 2 September earlier this season.
Zeman's overall record against the Nerazzurri is far less healthy, however. The current Giallorossi coach has crossed paths with Inter 23 times while in charge of various clubs but has had just three wins, as well as nine draws and 11 defeats.
Andrea Stramaccioni is facing his former club for the second time since moving up north from the capital, having spent five years in the Giallorossi youth academy from 2005/06 to 2010/11. Today will be his first time at the Stadio Olimpico against Roma. The Giallorossi have won 37 of the previous matches between these two sides in the capital. Inter have won 29 times and there have been 22 draws.
The referee for tonight's Week 21 fixture is Daniele Orsato, from the Schio section. He has taken charge of 12 Roma matches before today (W5, D4, L3 the Giallorossi's results) and 17 Inter games (W11, D3, L3).
