MILAN - That's 55-54. Javier Zanetti described beating Giuseppe Bergomi's record number of appearances in the Milan derby as a "huge milestone". After the first meeting of AC Milan and Inter in the 2012/13 season, the captain described the atmosphere as "a big party, we're all delighted, the players, the coach, and I'm sure the president will be too. I think you always have to battle in derby matches, but after Nagatomo's sending off, being down to 10 men against a side like AC Milan wasn't easy, but we did very well to stay compact. We come away from here knowing we're a strong team, and this consistency can only be a good thing. A good mix with the younger players? Us old guys are there to play with them and help them improve. Juventus and Napoli? They're deservedly ahead of us but we're up there too and we want to be in the title race come May. We're a strong, humble side that can battle when we need to and we saw that tonight."
