Five home games and the Nerazzurri are still waiting for their first home win and, naturally, that's where the first questions were aimed as Andrea Stramaccioni held his pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow's game.
"We have to play the football we know we can," explained Stramaccioni, "at the moment we are focussing on tomorrow's match and a win which will break the 'spell', which I think has more to do with stats than our game. But I repeat we must let our football do the talking for us and turn the situation around as regards these negative results."
Even if Inter are unbeaten in the last 16 competitive meetings of the two teams, Stramaccioni refuses to be swayed: "Siena are tough opposition on account of their characteristics. They are very good in defence and can attack effectively too. Having said that we really want to win in front of our home fans. Not just because it would be good for them but it will also keep us within reach of the leaders. It's very important we concentrate hard on playing to win from start to finish. As we have seen, in Serie A you can't lower your guard for even a minute, as can be seen from what happened to Roma last week. The match is over when the ref blows his whistle. Inter must go out onto that pitch and use all of the 90 minutes to try and pick up all three points."
