INTER ACADEMY: INTERNATIONAL WEEK

A week's training and courses for coaches and players from Asia, Europe and America at the academy

MILAN - Three different continents at the Centro Sportivo Giacinto Facchetti: Asia, North America and obviously Europe. A week of training and courses for 18 lads from Seattle-based Crossfire, a further 16 from India, and coaches from Tokyo's Technos College.

Inter Academy have just concluded a two-year partnership with Crossfire, with Nerazzurri coaches regularly travelling to Seattle for refresher seminars and to train hundreds of promising young American footballers. The Nerazzurri meanwhile lent their technical expertise to the Tata Tea Jaago Re Inter Milan Soccer Stars (TTJRIMSS) in India, the country's biggest school football tournament, which saw 1,200 schools, 15 cities and millions of kids involved. Inter Academy have also begun an educational exchange programme with Technos College in Tokyo, one of the main centres of Japanese culture.

The most exciting moment comes with the start of the Inter Friendship Cup, renamed in English after the Nerazzurri's opponents. The tournament takes place on Thursday 20 September at 15:00 and features the Crossfire under-15s, the best 16 Indian players from the Tata Tea Jaago Re Inter Milan Soccer Star competition and Benoit Cauet's Giovanissimi Nazionali (under-15s).

After the game, everyone to the San Siro for Inter v Rubin Kazan.
