MILAN - During his press conference before the Torino match, Andrea Stramaccioni was asked to comment on the debate about gay players that has been going on in Germany recently. "I rate my players purely on their football ability, on their physical, technical and mental ability," the coach replied. "I have no right to judge anyone on their sexual orientation. Whether an individual loves a man or a woman doesn't concern me, I'm a coach. If a player were to come and talk to me about off-the-field matters, I'd listen to him and support him... but usually they ask me about diagonal balls, offsides [grinning]. They don't normally ask me about that sort of thing... In any case, if you're fond of someone, you're fond of them for what they are."
