MEXICO CITY - When they arrived in the capital, country coordinator Christian Valerio along with coaches Roberto Picardi and Raffaele Quaranta met children from the Triqui indigenous tribe from a shanty town in the Candelaria quarter and callejeros (street kids) from the Fundaciòn Renacimiento who live in the notorious Tepito quarter, at the Deportivo Venustiano Carranza pitch.
The last four days of the visit were dedicated to the new project at Silao in Guanajuato, which is sponsored by Pirelli Mexico along with their partner foundation, Casa Hangar Peter Pan. This was the first official visit since the Inter Campus project was initiated in June. There are 120 children from neighbouring communities involved in the Silao Inter Campus project. The five new local educators took an active part in the coaches' practical demonstrations on the Deportivo Comunal pitch.
