LOCARNO - After returning to Inter from his Olympics adventure with Brazil, Juan Jesus went straight into the starting line-up against C.A. Bizertin this evening. After the game he stopped to talk about the friendly and his form: "I'm pleased. Hopefully we'll be able to work well and get a bit of consistency going. Am I the new Thiago Silva? I hope so, but I need to work harder. He's brilliant, I hope I can become as good as him."
Having shown his versatility by playing both at left-back and at centre-back, the Nerazzurri defender was asked about his favourite position: "I'm prepared to do whatever the coach wants. I definitely prefer to play at centre-back but I'm available wherever."
Quizzed about his future, Juan Jesus made no secret of his desire to remain at Inter: "This is a great team and I hope to become a great player for this club, like Zanetti and Cambiasso. I'd like to stay here."
The Brazilian was also asked about his fellow countryman Maicon: "I hope he stays. He's such a good player."
