MILAN – Some players' names will always remain in the history of Inter, because they are particular, different and unique just like the passion of the Nerazzurri fans. And among these we have Alvaro Recoba, aka "Chino", who made his mark here with his magic left foot. He won us over with his goals from midfield, seemingly impossible free-kicks and bursts of energy which left defences standing. He even scored with a header, but that was a one-off. There were times that he let us down but, as we all know well, that all adds up to the history of Inter.
President Massimo Moratti along with everyone at the club congratulates Recoba for winning the Uruguay Championship with his team, Nacional from Montevideo (for the 33rd time). Naturally the superb winning goal came from a left-foot shot in the final against Defensor Sporting: not everyone can manage that at the age of 36. Bravo Chino!
