TOKYO - Inter Academy has officially arrived in Japan. Inter's youth sector –
football schools for coaches and young players that have already come to
fruition in Abu Dhabi, the United States and recently in Mongolia and India –
has now made its way to the most important private school in Tokyo. In fact,
coinciding with their 50-year anniversary of activities, a two-year agreement has
been signed with Technos College, the prestigious university of the Tanaka
family that is part of an extraordinary academic network, which also consists of
Oxford and Liverpool Hope. Also present at the ceremony were the Governor of
Tokyo, Shintari Ishihara, the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia, the Mayor of Konagei,
the Secretary to the Italian Embassy and other figures from the Japanese
political and economic world. Each person present took part in the 'tapping of
the cask' (a Japanese inaugural ceremony) and the Nerazzurri delegation was
presented with a traditional doll.
Commercial director Mario De Vivo, Inter Academy technical director Marco Monti and Barbara Biggi brought greetings from president Massimo Moratti and the entire club to Technos College as they presented the programme of collaboration and football development that has become a benchmark recognised around the world thanks to the successes of the Nerazzurri's youth academy. The first two classroom lectures will be held by De Vivo and Monti, who will then move to the pitch to put the lessons into practice, first with the coaches and then with a group of players (starting with the U-16s).
