LONGO: "AN HONOUR TO SCORE HERE"

Palombo: "We're not used to playing in this sort of humidity but we're making a game of it - the fans deserve it"

JAKARTA - "We put everything into it when we play for the Primavera team, so you can imagine how determined we are to do well on an occasion like this..." Samuele Longo was speaking to Inter Channel at half-time after scoring the only goal in the first 45 minutes of Inter's friendly against Indonesia Liga Selection. After making his first-team debut against Lazio in the final game of the Serie A season, today Samuele opened his account with the big boys: an exhibition match it might be, but quite an experience in front of 20,000 fans nonetheless. Was he happy with his performance? "I feel more comfortable with my movement playing as centre forward but even when I start wide I still have the freedom to make the movements I like. In fact that's exactly how I scored..."

Angelo Palombo was another player who had a good first half against the U23 side, which was boosted by some of the best players from the Indonesian league (including foreigners): "It's tough out there. We're not used to playing in this sort of humidity but we're making a game of it, of course we are - these fans deserve that," stressed the midfielder, operating in the holding role in front of the defence today. He added: "And from a personal point of view, not having played much during the season, I'm want to take every opportunity to show what I can do."
