LONDON - Nerazzurri coach Andrea Stramaccioni had this to say after his team's 2-0 win over Marseille in tonight's NextGen Series semi-final: "I think two great teams stepped out onto the pitch today. We tried to prepare as thoroughly as possible for this game and I think Inter showed great mentality, organisation and quality. The only disappointment for me was that we were unable to make the most of the chances we created to kill the game off, but we were up against a top side and I want to pay my compliments to Marseille."
When it was pointed out to Stramaccioni that he spent the whole match spurring his players on from the sideline, never once sitting down on the bench, he smiled and replied: "I was really focused on Marseille because they have the ability and the individual quality to turn the game around at any time. I never thought it was over until the final whistle. I told my players not to try and defend the result but keep playing attacking football."
