APPIANO GENTILE – So, here we are then. On Inter Channel, channel 232 on Sky Italia, it's curtain up for Prima Serata with Dejan Stankovic. During the usual Thursday night slot, the midfielder tells the show, hosted by Edoardo Caldara, of his emotions and disappointment of the Marseille game, explaining that even in defeat you need to find balance and renewed strength. He confesses: "I miss Materazzi, but he found the right words to pick me up again even this time; now on away trips I prefer to stay in my own room, while when we are at Appiano before a game I room with Palombo, who is cheerful, entertaining and nice, a great room-mate."
It does indeed seem like the night before a game. The hours pass slowly as you wait. You already want to play again but the pitch is still far off, you try to concentrate, you imagine, share, you prepare yourself.
"Now we need to go again. It's a tough time but we need to go again. Let's finish this season with our heads held high, proud of what we've achieved and of the season itself. We need to take the positives even if we haven't had big results, and work together, as a unit. As I've said, if I think about the future, I've got faith because I trust Moratti. If I think about the next match, I'm happy to play straight away again at the San Siro, in our stadium. On Sunday we've got Atalanta, awkward opponents, they're having a great season and they have good players. It will be a great game."
With Inter and for Inter, in the name of Dejan Stankovic.
