GUARIN AT "SOLO INTER": "I PROMISE TO GIVE MY ALL"

Guarin a guest at "Solo Inter": "I'll reward the president and the fans for their faith in me as soon as possible"

MILAN- "I'm happy and I feel good. I'll soon return to action, I'm nearly ready and I hope to be at the level expected by a club such as this one." Guest at the official clubstore "Solo Inter" in Milan, Fredy Guarin answered questions from journalists about his first few months as Nerazzurri player, during which he has worked with the Inter medical staff to come back from a calf injury.

"My team-mates have been a huge help over this time," explained Guarin, "as have the fans and the management. I have a good rapport with everyone. I've had the chance to speak to some supporters and they've really made me feel welcome. I hope that I can soon help the team on the pitch. I'm happy in Milan, my family and I like the city, and I hope to soon reward the faith that has been shown in me over the last few weeks. Do I think Villas Boas is the right coach for Inter? I've got no idea what will happen in the future but at the moment Inter still have a coach and we'll keep going with him.

"This last week has been very significant in terms of work," continued the Colombian midfielder. "I hope to soon be back out on the pitch and get back to match sharpness so that I can again play to a good level in every game. I've had a very bad injury and it won't be easy to instantly recapture my best form after four months out."

Speaking then about the match which saw Inter go out of the Champions League, Guarin said: "The team gave it everything against Olympique Marseille, they tried their hearts out on the pitch, but it didn't go well and of course everyone was very down about that. Now we need to look forward though, to take the positives out of this experience and to try and pick up as many points as we can in the league.

"Do I feel pressure to show what I can do because I'm only here on loan? I've not given it much thought, all I can do is try my best and show what I can do. I'm here on a six-month loan, whether that's extended will be up to the club, but I'm relaxed and all I can say is that I'll give everything to show people what I can do."

Finally he spoke about president Massimo Moratti. "I've spoken to him a couple of times, he has a very positive mindset and, as I've said, I hope to reward the faith that he and the fans have shown in me as soon as possible."
