PRIMAVERA: INTER 4-2 CESENA

Inter off to a winning start on the new main pitch at the Centro Sportivo Giacinto Facchetti

MILAN – Inter Primavera took on Cesena today in Week 20 of the Campionato Primavera, in what was the first match played on the new pitch at the Centro Sportivo Giacinto Facchetti. Claudio Ranieri was joined in the stands by chief executive Ernesto Paolillo, sporting director Piero Ausilio, vice managing director Stefano Filucchi and Gianfranco Bedin. Davide Faraoni also watched his former team-mates.

The Nerazzurri began the game very well, found themselves 2-0 up in the space of 17 minutes - Bessa and Castaignos with the goals – and dominated the entire first half. However, they took their foot off the pedal a little early before the break and Filippi struck twice in two minutes to level things up.

The second half was only 30 seconds old when Inter were back in front, a rocket from Bessa finding the top corner: 3-2. In the second of four additional minutes Forte made it 4-2 to put the result beyond doubt.

Inter move to 40 points. The next game sees the Nerazzurri take on Albinoleffe in a top of the table clash.
