INTER CHANNEL: HERNAN CRESPO SPECIAL (19:50)

"It's wonderful to see this club with so many trophies won all over the world"

APPIANO GENTILE - Hernan Crespo paid a visit to the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti today to see his former team-mates: a moment to recall emotions, memories, goals and stories with the player nicknamed Arma Letale (Lethal Weapon).

"Quite a few things have changed here at Inter; there are a lot more trophies now but it's still essentially the same place. I want to thank everyone for giving me such a nice welcome. It's been great to come back here and see everyone again." That was how the Argentine striker began his long interview with Nagaja Beccalossi, which you can see on Speciale Hernan Crespo at 19:50 tonight.

"It's not easy to take the decision to quit top-level football," he continued. "I find it hard to talk about it because it's still so fresh. It's tough but that's the law of life. I'll see if I'm able to do something I enjoy within the world of football."

There are lots of unforgettable moments for Crespo in a Nerazzurri shirt but which is the most memorable of all? "Here at Inter everything was amazing right from day one. It's wonderful to see this club with so many trophies won all over the world, especially for someone like me who experienced things before and during that spell. If I have to choose a single moment I'd say the first Scudetto won on the pitch in the Moratti era when Juventus were in Serie B. For all the people who had suffered for so long, for someone such as myself who had finished behind Juventus playing for other clubs, it's hard to forget the joy we felt that day."

And then there were all his goals for Inter. Here too choosing the best one is a tough task: "I don't want to exaggerate but goals are a bit like children. You remember them all and it's hard to pick one because they are the result of the hard work put in throughout the week. Of course you get more spectacular goals and more important goals. If I have to cherish one above all the others, I'd like to keep the last one I scored in an Inter shirt in Verona against Chievo. I wasn't playing much then but I was in the starting line-up that day: scoring a goal and going over to celebrate with the fans was such an incredible feeling."

You can see the full interview with Hernan Crespo on Inter Channel this evening at 19:50.
