MILAN - Inter Active managing director Jefferson Slack's comments to Italian sports dailies Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport about the season tickets campaign (over 23,000 sold during the pre-emption phase):

"It's a psychological phenomenon which is difficult to explain. We can only thank our extraordinary fans. I think there are two possible explanations. Our first secret is president Moratti. He's the number one fan and, even though the important victories everybody's waiting for still haven't come, he's the mainspring for the belief. He transmits an incredible sense of belonging which unites the the club and which makes the fans feel part of the club. The second reason is a psychological one. There's the desire to be part of a group and to face another challenge as one. An Inter fan is and feels different from everybody else. Our fan wants to win with Inter, not support a winning Inter.
