APPIANO GENTILE - The visit of Colombian national team coach Francisco Maturana to Pinetina was followed closely by Ivan Cordoba, captain of the South American side. In an interview with Inter Channel, Maturana spoke about the Nerazzurri central defender.
He said, "For our nation he's a reason to be proud and he's a guarantee. He's a great professional and a great man, a great leader."
Maturana also explained the reason for his visit. "I came to Europe to go around a bit and follow more closely our players in Spain, England, Portugal, France and Italy. We have some very interesting youngsters, but the contribution of the more expert ones is necessary for the future of our national side."
Maturana added, "I follow Italian football a lot and I thank Inter for their great hospitality."
