LA SPEZIA - Walter Nicoletti has been appointed head coach of Serie C1 side Spezia and will make his debut on the Ligurian bench this coming Sunday at home to Pistoiese.
Nicoletti will be officially presented at a press conference at Spezia's Alberto Picco stadium today.
The 51-year-old coach from Rimini has a long experience in the Serie C, and Spezia have brought in Nicoletti after a poor run of form under coaches Fabio Brini, Antonio Sassarini, Stefano Cuoghi and Roberto Bosco. Nicoletti has reached an agreement that will see him in charge of the Spezia side until June and retains an option for next season.
Last July, Inter bought a 30% stake in the Ligurian club.
