MILAN - According to sources close to Spanish club Barcelona, Louis van Gaal's predecessor Carlos Rexach will take over in the capacity of interim head coach.
Van Gaal was sacked by mutual consent following a two-hour meeting yesterday, and Italian Alberto Zaccheroni is among those tipped to be a long-term replacement for the Dutchman.
Assistant coach Toño De la Cruz took charge of this morning's training session in the Catalan city.
