ICC 2019, SKRINIAR: "WE MUST PUT WHAT WE'RE LEARNING INTO PRACTICE"

The Slovakian defender speaking on the eve of Wednesday's clash against Juventus: "Godin will be a massive help to us"

NANJING - On the eve of Inter’s clash against Juventus in their second fixture at the 2019 International Champions Cup, Milan Skriniar spoke to both the press and Inter TV in regards to the side’s current situation: “It’s not so much of a friendly, but more of a preparation match in which we must demonstrate what we’re learning in training. We must do what the Coach asks of us, embracing his concepts during the game. We’re working hard and we’re working well.”

As for the Nerazzurri’s fresh three-man defence, Skriniar is excited about the prospect of working with new summer signing Godin: “I feel good. Diego will be a massive help to us and there aren’t any problems in terms of language, we understand each other perfectly well.”

Up next for Inter is Juventus: “They have really strong players and not just Cristiano Ronaldo. Us defenders must stay fully alert and focused. Playing against Cristiano Ronaldo is never easy, he’s one of the best in the world. The entire team must work well.”
