MILAN - It was a night of a triumphant comeback win. A great night of Inter. Inter vs. Roma at San Siro was the encounter. The team from that night on 26 August 2006 is at the heart of 'Guess the team', the quiz on the Instagram Stories published on the Club's official account.

That match itself was full of drama and big moments, but also new faces. Fabio Grosso, Douglas Maicon (substitute), Patrick Vieira, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Dacourt (substitute) all made their Inter debuts. Hernan Crespo was also back in a Nerazzurri shirt. It started badly though with Amantino Mancini opening the scoring after 13 minutes, before Aquilani netted a brace over ten minutes between the 25th and 34th minutes. It seemed to be over with the Giallorossi 0-3 up. But, Roberto Mancini's Inter had more tricks up their sleeve and a strong desire above all not to let the fans down while pursuing the first title of the season.

To come back from three goals down was no easy task. The first step back came in the 44th minute. Figo delivered a free kick and Vieira got up to head into the corner with Doni left rooted to the spot. That goal just before the half-time whistle put doubt into the opponents' heads and said that Inter were still in this.

20 minutes into the second half, Stankovic furiously burst down the right flank before whipping in a hard cross. Just after coming on, Hernan Crespo knew what to do and he was back celebrating with the fans. The Argentine was lethal in the box as he aggressively attacked the near post, nodding into the bottom corner to make it 2-3. It was a great goal that raised the temperature at the Meazza as the home crowd started to expect the equaliser to come. It was in the air and came it did. Crespo backheeled the ball on, Ibrahimovic shot across goal and it found Vieira who was there to redirect the ball into the net via the underside of the bar. 3-3 and the match was bound for extra-time.

Momentum was now totally with the Nerazzurri. Four minutes into the first half of extra time, Figo was able to surprise Doni on his side from a free kick taken from 20 metres out. 4-3 up, the supporters went mad with joy with the Supercoppa Italiana secured.
