MILAN - This weekend Gianmario Corti’s Berretti side and Gabriele Bonacina’s Under-16s will get the Elite Academy underway in their various finals across different age groups.

The Berretti outfit will be in action on Saturday 18 May at 15:00 CEST, facing off against Ascoli: “We’re preparing for this game which is worth a lot,” said Coach Corti to Inter TV. “We’re looking to get all of the lads back so that we’ll have a full squad available. We’ll need determination and ruthlessness. We must repeat the performances put in against Albinoleffe and Novara.” The second leg to decide who reaches the final will take place on Sunday 26 May at the the Piccio Training Centre in Ascoli.

Meanwhile, on Sunday at 15:00 CEST at the Vismara Training Centre, the U16s will be competing in their quarter-final first leg against Milan: “The league matches are different,” said Bonacina prior to the #DerbyMilano. “We’re now in a two-legged knockout encounter (the return leg at the Suning Youth Development Centre on Sunday 26 May). From a motivational point of view, the lads are solely focused on this and they’ll play with maximum conviction. Milan are a good team and they’ve shown great balance in the league. Our task is to make sure these lads are fully prepared.”

As for Andrea Zanchetta’s Under-17s, they’re still waiting to see who they’ll be facing in the quarter-final on the 2nd and 9th June. Lastly, Armando Madonna’s U19s are still competing in the league and will be looking to tie down second place when they face Atalanta away from home on Sunday. This would guarantee Inter’s spot in the Scudetto Final Four.
