VIAREGGIO CUP: COMMENTS FROM MADONNA, BURGIO AND NOLAN

The Nerazzurri trio spoke following Inter's 2-0 win over the Rappresentativa Serie D XI, which helped them progress through to the quarter-finals

<p><strong>SANTA CROCE SULL'ARNO -&nbsp;</strong>Following Inter&rsquo;s 2-0 win over the Rappresentativa Serie D XI, <strong>Riccardo</strong> <strong>Burgio</strong> and <strong>Ryan</strong> <strong>Nolan</strong> joined U19 Coach <strong>Armando</strong> <strong>Madonna</strong> in speaking to Inter TV following their quarter-final progression:</p> <p><strong>Armando Madonna&nbsp;</strong>- &ldquo;We&rsquo;re really pleased with the result because it wasn&rsquo;t an easy match. There was plenty of wind and the Rappresentativa Serie D side shown great physicality. We&rsquo;ve got several absentees away on international duty and also sone injuries. However, I saw both determination and a good temperament from my players. The team keeps growing and we don&rsquo;t want to stop.&rdquo;</p> <p><strong>Riccardo Burgio&nbsp;</strong>- &ldquo;The conditions weren&rsquo;t favourable but we managed to impose ourselves physically and also qualify in the process. Fitness-wise, we&rsquo;re doing really well. The Viareggio is an important competition and it&rsquo;s a useful platform to show our skills. The aim to keep growing and getting wins to make sure that we honour the shirt that we wear.&rdquo;</p> <p><strong>Ryan Nolan - </strong>&ldquo;It was my first goal of the season. I&rsquo;m very pleased and let&rsquo;s hope that we can keep winning. The Primavera has a solid squad and can do well despite absentees. We&rsquo;ve also demonstrated this by winning this competition last season. It&rsquo;s crucial to recover our energy to make sure that we can continue along this path in the best way possible.&rdquo;</p>
