SESTO SAN GIOVANNI - Following Fiorentina’s 3-1 win over Inter, Armando Madonna and Andrea Adorante had this to say to Inter TV:

Armando Madonna: “I’m disappointed because we didn’t take our chances during the first half. We conceded from their first chance after the interval and we lost our shape after that. We must grow as a collective, and in moments of difficulty, our values must emerge. It’s a shame because the team is improving and was coming off the back of some important results. However, I’m pleased with our approach and our reaction after the Supercup against Torino. We’re doing well physically, although we must work on keeping our concentration for the entire 90 minutes. We now have a few days to recover, particularly mentally, and then ensure that we’re ready for our next match.”

Andrea Adorante: “We played really well in the first half and then dropped off after the break. It’s a shame because we should’ve scored during the first 45. The league standings are tight and we’re not looking at them at the moment. What counts now is getting back to work and preparing for our many challenges ahead. Other than today’s game, it’s been a week full of many different emotions. First, there was the disappointment of the Supercup where we deserved more, and then great happiness with my call-up to the first team. Sharing the San Siro atmosphere with great players was really special.”
