PALERMO - Inter blew away their opponents early on during their latest Primavera 1 TIM fixture on Sunday, scoring three goals in just 10 minutes against Palermo. Adorante bagged a brace for Armando Madonna’s Under-19 side, while Petrucci also scored an own goal to leave the eventual scoreline at 3-0. This latest success is the Nerazzurri’s second consecutive win of 2019, now moving them up to 27 points in the league standings. Inter will be back in action at 12:00 CET on Wednesday at the Stadio Breda, taking on Cosenza in the quarter-finals of the Primavera TIM Cup.

Inter were on the front foot right from the off against Palermo, with Adorante breaking the deadlock in the fourth minute. His goal came after a long-range strike from Pompetti was well saved by Avogadri, with the Nerazzurri striker then tapping in the rebound. Just two minutes later Inter doubled their lead, once again with Adorante on the scoresheet. Mulattieri was the man with the assist, as he skipped down the right and played a lovely ball into the path of Adorante in the middle. Despite their comfortable lead, Inter didn’t relent; on the contrary, they soon grabbed a third in the 10th minute after Petrucci turned the ball into his own net.

There were further chances to score before the break, while Dekic also made a save to keep out Sicuro, with the first-half soon ending with Inter leading 3-0.

After the break, Inter looked to lower the pace and control possession. There was a chance for the Nerazzurri in the 64th minute. A corner routine between Schirò and Pompetti allowed the latter to shoot but Avogadri saved. In the 91st minute, Palermo won a penalty for a Pompetti foul. A brilliant Dekic was able to save from Sicuro’s spot kick however and it was his second consecutive penalty save following the one against Atalanta. It finished 0-3 for Inter at the Pasqualino Stadium in Palermo as Adorante’s brace and a Petrucci own goal made the difference. The three points send Inter up to 27 points in the league table.

PALERMO 0-3 INTER
Goalscorers: 4' and 6' Adorante, 10’ og.
