<p><strong>SEDRIANO </strong>– Inter Women were in fine form as the Serie B season reached the halfway stage: De La Fuente’s side recorded a 6-0 win against Fortitudo Mozzecane, meaning Inter still sit on maximum points at the top of the league. A Di Marinelli double as well as goals from Brustia, Pandini, Regazzoli and Costi gave Inter their 11th win in as many games in Serie B. The journey the team have been on so far has been almost perfect, with the Nerazzurre putting in another great performance.</p> <p>Sebastian De La Fuente’s side started on the front foot, with Marinelli giving Inter the lead after just nine minutes from the edge of the area. Five minutes later, it was 2-0: Regazzoli played a fantastic ball to Brustia, who then entered the penalty area and beat Olivieri. The visitors could have got back into the game around the 30-minute mark, but Geometri’s cross-cum-shot hit the bar. In the 34th minute, Capelletti did superbly well to keep out Gelmetti’s effort. The first half ended with the Nerazzurre deservedly 2-0 in front.</p> <p>The second half began in a lively fashion as Marinelli’s strike hit the post. Inter continued to come forward and made it 3-0 shortly afterwards as Pandini found the back of the net following Regazzoli’s assist. Inter’s no. 10 was putting in a fantastic performance, with this being her second assist of the game. The Nerazzurre made it 4-0 after 51 minutes as Marinelli found the back of the net once again (her 13th goal in the league so far). It was then Regazzoli’s turn to get on the scoresheet as she fired in from the edge of the area. De La Fuente’s side continued to control proceedings, with Merlo and Costi having further chances to score before Inter finally got their sixth goal. This was scored by Costi, who finished off a lovely team move.
