APPIANO GENTILE – Inter’s Primavera coach Armando Madonna spoke to Inter TV on the eve of Inter vs. Atalanta, his side’s first competitive match in 2019. This is what he had to say:

"The game against Atalanta will be a unique and special one: I played for them for many years, and it’ll be exciting to face them as part of the opposition. We put in a lot of hard work during the winter break, and the match against La Dea is one of many difficult games we’ve got coming up in the next few months.

"We need to continue to improve in order to demonstrate our true worth. The team have always worked hard and shown great intensity, we just need to find more of a balance and grow in terms of hunger and determination," Madonna continued.

"There are many games and many competitions we want to do well in. I’m convinced we’ll reap the benefits of the work we’ve done in the long run."
