RAVENNA - Inter completed a dramatic 3-2 comeback to beat Ravenna on Matchday 10 in Serie B Women, with Sebastian De La Fuente’s side duly maintaining their perfect record in the league – where remain top and eight points ahead of Empoli. Played out at the Campo M. Soprani, the Nerazzurre initially took the lead through Regazzoli before Ravenna fought back through goals from Barbaresi and Filippi. However, during the final 15 minutes Inter demonstrated resilience and skill to win 3-2 thanks to a brace from Marinelli – whose scoring tally now rises to 11.

Ravenna started the match ambitiously, with Cimatti earning her side a corner early on. However, the away side responded well and Regazzoli broke the deadlock with a fine right-footed strike in the sixth minute. Chances continued to fall for both sides, with Schroffenegger first keeping out Cameron, while Marinelli then just missed out on a ball from captain Baresi. The equaliser came in the 30th minute, with Barbaresi banging in a fine strike from outside the area. The half-time whistle was soon blown with the scoreline tied at 1-1.

At the start of the second half, there was a great chance for Inter, with a set-piece from Locatelli hitting the post. Despite continued Nerazzurre pressure, including a great save to keep out Marinelli, Ravenna soon took the lead in the 70th minute through Filippi. However, the mature and obstinate Inter side were unshaken and managed to get an equaliser in the 77th minute, in the form of a super solo effort from Marinelli. Just six minutes later, Inter then completed their comeback, with Rognoni playing in Marinelli who scored her second of the day. De La Fuente’s side exploded with joy, who now continue on their perfect path in the league.
