MILAN - 2019 started with a win for the Nerazzurri. At the Suning Youth Development Centre, Inter beat Brescia 5-3 in a friendly organised to prepare for the return of league action. Goals from Ballabio, Merola, Serpe, Demirovic and Bonfanti were enough to win it for Armando Madonna’s side. The Primavera team will return to action on Friday 11th January at 14:30 CET to take on Atalanta in Primavera 1 TIM.

Inter started by dominating possession but without finding much space in the final third. Brescia were clinical and took the lead with their first chance. In the eleventh minute, an acrobatic Lucca strike took a deflection and beat Dekic at the far post. Inter looked to respond. First, Ballabio hit the post from outside the box and Merola then forced a save from Abbrandini. In the 40th minute, the Nerazzurri equalise. Corrado did well to win the ball high up the pitch and cross from Ballabio who made no mistake from close range. Three minutes later, Pompetti delivered a magnificent assist for Merola who controlled it brilliantly and fired home to turn it around and make it 2-1.

The Nerazzurri started the second half strongly, adding a third in the 54th minute with a great right-footed effort by Laurens Serpe. Brescia struck back immediately as Lucca scored his second of the game in the 54th minute. The attacks were on top and Demirovic scored Inter’s fourth with a left-footed effort from 20 metres out. It wasn’t over there. In the 69th minute, Lucca completed his hat-trick to drag his side back in it. At the end, there was time for Bonfanti to wrap things off with the goal to make it 5-3. Armando Madonna’s U-19s claimed the win ahead of the match against Primavera 1 TIM leaders Atalanta on Friday 11th June at the Stadio Breda in Sesto San Giovanni.

INTER 5-3 BRESCIA

Goals: 10', 56’ and 69' Lucca, 40' Ballabio, 43' Merola, 54’ Serpe, 62’ Demirovic, 75’ Bonfanti.

INTER: 1 Dekic, 2 Persyn (14' st Grassini 13), 4 Nolan (1' st Serpe 14), 6 Pirola (1' st Van Den Eynden), 3 Corrado (1' st <a href="http://w0pp.inter.it/en/squadra/G0955/federico-dimarco" title="Federico Dimarco, Difensore: His career, technical characteristics, statistics and number of appearances.
