Ahead of the UYL match against Tottenham Hotspur, Primavera Coach Armando Madonna spoke to Inter TV. "We’re always looking to improve our performances on our journey," he began. "Despite the positive result, we took a step back on Saturday. We need to improve in terms of our character and how we develop the play. Obviously, a win in the derby helps, it’s always important to win and it helps you to work better in the week. Mistakes need to be analysed though so that they’re not repeated in the future."

"We’ve always played well in the UEFA Youth League. That said, we’ve not been able to keep it up over the course of 90 minutes while a touch of bad luck means that we haven’t picked up too many points. I’m satisfied by the performances though, I’m especially interested in seeing the guys develop, individually and as a collective.

"The main aim is to develop the guys so that they are ready to play at the highest levels. In this aspect, we’re not doing enough. Daily training becomes fundamental in adding that special something. To keep developing and improving, lots of sacrifice and effort are required."
