INTER WOMEN, DE LA FUENTE: "IT'S AN HONOUR TO DEFEND THE NERAZZURRI COLOURS"

Inter Women's coach Sebastian De La Fuente spoke to Inter TV

MILAN – Inter Women have started their league season in the best possible fashion with four wins from four. Sebastian De La Fuente’s team have also had some great results in the Coppa Italia and have qualified for the round of sixteen in this competition. The Nerazzurri tactician spoke to Inter TV and commented on his team’s success so far and also on the growth of women’s football.

"We have worked hard and our start to the season has been good. I’m happy with how the girls are approaching every game we play – they are demonstrating a great desire to take things on board and make sacrifices for each other. It’s great to coach such a group.

"Officially becoming FC Internazionale Milano was a very big and special thing. Being able to defend and honour these colours gives the girls great determination. It is something which fills us with pride and this development also gives a great boost to women’s football, which has grown massively recently."

To finish off, he gave his thoughts on the first women’s #DerbyMilano: "We will play Milan in the round of 16 in the Coppa Italia. They are a very strong side, but we’ll play the cards we have in the best way we can."
