PRIMAVERA 1 TIM: INTER 3-3 JUVENTUS

A hat-trick from Salcedo wasn't enough on Monday, as Juventus completed a late comeback thanks to goals from Serrao and Di Francesco

MILAN - On Matchday six in the Primavera 1 TIM season, Armando Madonna’s side drew 3-3 with Juventus. A hat-trick from Eddie Salcedo wasn’t enough to secure the win as late goals from Serrao and Di Francesco saw the visitors overturn a two-goal deficit to leave with a point.

Inter approached the game well and took just two minutes to go ahead thanks to a perfect volley from Salcedo from a Pompetti corner. Juventus didn’t take long to respond with Frederiksen equalising in the sixth minute after an incisive ball from Portanova that set up the Dane up before he moved the ball onto his left and beat Dekic. In the 15th minute, the Nerazzurri had a chance to go ahead once more. Colidio was fouled in the box by Makoun, stepped up to take the spot-kick himself but fired onto the bar. The match continued in a balanced fashion with chances for both sides. Nicolussi had an effort for Juve while Zappa went close for Inter with a good strike.

Inter started the second half very strongly and immediately regained the lead through Salcedo. The goal came following a break down the right from Grassini before Serrao then played the ball onto the Nerazzurri No.11 to grab his brace.

The Bianconeri tried to fight back but Armando Madonna’s side then extended their lead thanks to yet another goal from Salcedo – in what was the 17-year-old’s first Inter hat-trick.

Chances then fell for both Petrilli and Adorante, however, neither managed to grab what could’ve been a crucial fourth. Serrao soon shortened the gap with the away side’s second goal before Di Francesco then snatched a last-gasp equaliser to make it 3-3 and ensure a point for the visitors.
