MILAN – Inter’s Elite Academy recorded numerous successes on a national level last season, with the Primavera team, the Under-16s and U15s all being crowned as champions. Furthermore, there was Supercoppa success for both the U15s and the U19s, with the latter also winning the Viareggio Tournament. And the success of the women’s teams can’t be forgotten either: last season, the U15s and U17s became champions too. The Elite Academy’s incredible success on the pitch has received international recognition: a report by the CIES Football Observatory has once again attested to the excellent work carried out by Roberto Samaden and all of the coaches and staff who coordinate the daily activities at the Suning Youth Development Centre in Memory of Giacinto Facchetti.

In terms of the players who spent time developing in youth academies throughout Europe (at least three years between the ages of 15 and 21) and who are now playing in one of the five major European leagues, Inter come in at the top of the ranking when it comes to Italian teams and are the tenth best team in Europe with 21 players. In the ranking which includes all of the players who are currently playing in the top division of one of the 31 professional leagues in Europe, the Nerazzurri come in at 49th place with 28 players, still the best in Italy.
